As far as the older features of the Hyundai i20 Sportz are concerned, the driver seat, which is height adjustable, cruise control, and the rear parking camera are all present and have been retained even in the new variant.
Powertrain Specifications
The powerful and reliable 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine drives the Sportz. But for this variant exclusively, it comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. About 83hp of power is generated by the engine. It ensures that you will have a smooth and effective driving experience.
Safety is a Priority
As far as safety is concerned, it is always a priority in Sportz (O). It has 6 airbags, EBD, ABS, ESC, Vehicle Stability Management Control, and a hill-start assist. The sound system comprises rear and front speakers. There is a 16-inch steel wheel. The sound system is equipped with front tweeters. In the higher variants, you will come across the Bose sound system.
The Hyundai i20 Sportz price is higher by INR 35,000 than the earlier variant. The price tag is INR 8.73 lakh ex-showroom price for the variants with the monotone option. And for those with a dual-tone, it is priced slightly at INR 8.88 lakh.
The facelift is ready to compete with its rivals in the same hatchback segment, including Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, and Toyota Glanza. But among all of them, Altroz is the only variant that can live up to competition with Hyundai i20 Sportz since both have turbo-petrol engine options.
