Common Stereotypes When It Comes To Inkjet Vs Laser Printer

The printing press was invented in the 1440s by Johannes Gutenberg. Although it was not the first device used to print, his version of the printing press made printing much more efficient and movable than earlier designs. The first use of moveable type dates back to 1298 when a Korean inventor created a movable metal type. However, this technology had many flaws and did not become popular until Gutenberg’s design was introduced in Europe in the 15th century. The earliest printers were used for making cloth in ancient China, around 200 BC. The use of mechanical movable type was invented in the 11th century, but very few examples have survived to this day.

Continuing this history, accompanied by advanced and innovative technology, now we have advanced printers like inkjet Printers and Laser PrinterInkjet printer is a fantastic machine that has both digital and analogue technology. It is used for printing pictures and other text documents. These printers are widely used in offices, schools, homes etc. On the other hand, Laser printers are used for desktop publishing, high-volume printing and producing professional-quality documents. They’re also used in small and medium businesses, including financial institutions, medical offices, insurance companies, law firms and many others. Laser printers have an advantage over inkjet printers because they print faster at higher resolutions.

Comparison between Inkjet printer and Laser Printer

    • Inkjet Printer

It is a perfect choice for images, heavy documents and photos. Additionally, this printer is better at blending smooth colours. It can print on various types of paper and certain types of fabrics. To use this printer, you do not need any warm-up time before printing. And the most critical factor is that you can utilise cartridges multiple times and refill them. Inkjet printers are pretty small, light and conveniently easy to maintain at home or any place. However, this printer has a few drawbacks that need to be considered, such as ink cartridges needing frequent cleaning. Also, it works a bit slow compared to the laser printer.

    • Laser Printer

One of the main features of this product is its speed. It is a faster printer. The printing process is relatively smooth regardless of the pressure. It generates explicit black texts perfect for official purposes. It works like magic when it comes to clarity in small fonts and lines. The laser printer is equipped for high-volume printing projects. Although, this printer also has some negative factors, such as taking too much time to warm up. Its toner leak can be pretty troublesome. Also, it is incapable of managing too many papers. And it is heavier and more extensive than inkjet printers.
