    Business Upside [BU]: How did you get your idea or concept for Dolphin Learning Solutions?

    Kishan Sathyan [KS]: Colleges and Universities’ curriculum is based on the theory of what if the student faces a requirement to apply knowledge in their future and thereby have a lot of information in varied subjects covered. They need to learn about evaluating what the current industries and businesses require. For example, history, geography, etc., are taught to cover all aspects of life and its learning. Learning civics and Judiciary systems at the surface level can only give a theoretical knowledge of the know ‘whats’ but not how it needs to be applied and in what situation. Dolphin Learning Solutions is aimed at bridging this gap by bringing the current market requirement to the schools, colleges, universities, and businesses together to bridge the gap in Learning by creating learning solutions making the students job ready.

    Dolphin Learning Solutions aims to achieve this through its three-step approach.

    1) Creating various platforms which can provide seamless learning to the learners with current and relevant in-depth perceptual learnings and training.

    2) Using innovative technology through Augmented reality and Virtual reality-stimulated perceptual learning methods for the most effective learning experiences.

    3) To create more creative thinkers using convergent and divergent thinking and learning solutions.

    [BU]: What was your mission at the outset?

    [KS]: To create a community of Joyful learners and to provide a network of mentors and a community of constant learners upskilling themselves as professionals to achieve excellence in their chosen field.

    [BU]: How do you market your business, and which method has been most successful?

    [KS]: Through networks and client recommendations. Our presence on social media is still in its infancy, and we haven’t dedicatedly built it on social media platforms. However, for now, business networking and recommendations have been our successful methods. Dolphin Learning Solutions believes in organic growth, and our community of students, colleges, Universities, and Corporates are our champions!

    [BU]: What is unique about your business?

    [KS]: In the movie Kung Fu Panda, when Panda asks his father for the secret ingredient and realises that the only secret ingredient is love and joy, So does Dolphin Learning Solutions. There is nothing unique about our business. Passion, an attitude to constantly keep learning and growing, perseverance, and a problem-solving approach is what we all bring to the table on an everyday basis.

    [BU]: How do you generate new ideas for serving your clients?

    [KS]: As a team of Dolphinites, we are always mindful of what we do every moment. We start our day with what we are doing today differently and end our day with what we did today differently. This daily ritual, along with a few other routines and exercises like practicing gratitude and cheering each other, has helped us develop our mindset into creative ideate daily. Our team’s favourite exercise is to generate at least three random new ideas in a day.

    [BU]: If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting in this Industry, what would it be?

    [KS]: Keep your head down, do not hesitate to learn and take risks, practice gratitude, look at ways of improving yourself, do your shadow work, and don’t take everything too personally. Out of all these, my favourite two are gratitude journaling and doing shadow work. If I had to pick one, it definitely would be practicing gratitude.

    [BU]: What do you look for in an employee?

    [KS]: Apart from their skill sets and experiences, their emotional Intelligence, thirst for knowledge and growth, and their groundedness.

    [BU]: Do you believe there is some sort of formula or pattern to becoming a successful Businessman?

    [KS]: Of course, there are formulae and patterns to everything in this universe. We Dolphinites call it our rhythm and our Dolphin’s call. What that formula or pattern is upto the individual.

    [BU]: What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

    [KS]: Several. Every time our Dolphinites hear their calling and answer it, it is very satisfying. When our dolphinite learners are engaged in their learning joyfully, it’s pure bliss. When our partners recommend us in their network, and our phones ring with inquiries, it’s momentous! Completing all the tedious tasks of the business administration side is very satisfying too. Generating random ideas daily, which sets the day off with the dopamine rush in our brains, is euphoric. The serotonin rush we get with practicing gratitude at the end of every day helps immensely in being grounded in our satisfaction.

    [BU]: What is your future plan for expanding the business to other parts of the nation?

    [KS]: We are ideating and developing some projects in collaboration with various other Universities internationally. We are also working on a few social programs for our learners in different fields to develop our learners’ social intelligence further.
